TREE SURGERY

Whilst we pride ourselves in all aspects of our work, it’s pruning in particular that we are most proud of.

Here are just a few methods of tree surgery to help keep your trees happy and healthy.

  • Crown Reduction

By pruning the outer branches, a crown reduction helps to reduce the overall size of the tree’s crown whilst ensuring the crown’s shape remains the same.

  • Crown Lift

A crown lift involves carefully removing a tree’s lower branches. This can be aesthetic, to help to introduce more light, increase air flow or improve your view, for example. It may also need to be carried out for access or safety reasons.

  • Pollarding

Pollarding is a pruning system which helps you control the overall growth of the tree to ensure it does not outgrow its space.

  • Fruit Tree Pruning

Pruning your fruit tree is vital. Not only does pruning help to boost fruit production, it helps to prevent disease, improves the structural integrity of your tree and will enhance its appearance.

  • Deadwooding

Dead branches cause a tree to bear unnecessary additional weight which can cause significant stress. By removing deadwood, we can help the tree regain its balance, reduce wind resistance and minimise the risk of fallen branches.
